Starion Financial promotes Schmidt, Morast relocates to south Bismarck

Ashley Schmidt has been promoted to customer service representative at Starion Financial on North Washington Street and Century Avenue. Customer Service Representative Nagoshia Morast has relocated to the bank on South Washington Street and Bismarck Expressway.

Both will open personal and business accounts, including checking and savings, certificates of deposit and IRAs, in addition to teller responsibilities.

Schmidt joined Starion Financial in December as a teller at the south Bismarck branch. She has more than five years of previous teller experience.

She is enrolled at St. Cloud State University (SCSU) in Minnesota earning her risk management insurance degree. She was involved in the Insurance Club at SCSU.

Morast joined Starion Financial as a part-time teller in 2009, started full time in 2010, and the following year was promoted to customer service representative at the north Bismarck location. She has previous administrative and customer service experience.

She earned her associate degree from Bismarck State College and is working toward degrees in finance and human resources through the Dickinson State University online program.

Starion Financial is a $925 million family-owned community bank and financial services organization. The company began in Oakes, N.D., in 1969 and has 13 locations throughout Bismarck-Mandan, Bottineau, Dunseith, Rolla, Ellendale, Oakes and Fargo, N.D., and Middleton, Wis.
