Starion provides support to 4-H program

Starion Financial has made a $25,000 contribution to the Western North Dakota 4-H Camp in Washburn, N.D. The donation spans over five years beginning in 2013 and will help fund the new Johnsrud 4-H Center and camp renovations.

“The new Johnsrud 4-H center and camp renovations will ensure that kids reach their full potential and learn important values for life.” said Craig Larson, president/CEO. “Starion Financial is dedicated to the communities it serves, and is proud to support an organization that is committed to the enrichment of our youth.”

This donation is close to the heart of Jim Peterson, Starion’s market president in Dunseith, Rolla and Bottineau. Growing up in North Dakota, Jim participated in many 4-H activities, and to this day carries those experiences over to his work.

“4-H taught me that hard work and a strong work ethic is the key to success, but it also taught me to use my heart and feel compassion for others” said Peterson. “I learned that it’s important to support one another and give back. Starion Financial is proud to do this by supporting the 4-H Camp renovations.”
