Welcome to the Bottineau Community Guide

Whether you're new to the area or a life-long resident, there are many aspects of Bottineau that attract people to the area. This guide provides links to information about the community and contacts who can help you know it better.

Called the Four Seasons Playground, Bottineau is located in north-central North Dakota about 10 miles south of the Canadian border. A 30-foot tall fiberglass statue called "Tommy the Turtle" is a local landmark for the city, as well as the Bottineau Winter Park.

The park features North Dakota's first ski facility for handicapped children and wounded veterans, and is named after Ann Nicole Nelson, the only North Dakotan to die in the September 2011 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City.
