Starion Financial promotes Schmitt, Zinke transfers

The Starion Financial business banking team in Bismarck has two new members: LaDawn Schmitt and Doug Zinke.

LaDawn Schmitt has been promoted to business banking officer, assistant vice president. Schmitt began her Starion career in July 2006 when she joined the organization as a business banking representative. In August 2007 she joined the Credit Department as a credit analyst I. She continued to grow her knowledge and expertise and served as loan review lead in 2009. Schmitt returned to the credit analyst role in 2010 and advanced to level II in December 2011 and level III in September 2013. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Doug Zinke, who has been a business banking officer, assistant vice president, in Mandan since January 2014, has transferred to Bismarck. Zinke joined Starion Financial in November 2011 as a business banking officer. Prior to joining Starion, he had more than five years’ experience in the banking and financial services industries. Zinke holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an MBA, both from the University of Mary. Zinke will continue to serve customers in both Mandan and Bismarck.

Schmitt and Zinke work with new and existing commercial customers to identify, develop and manage loan portfolios by advising on business management, financial matters and other Starion services.
